Arizona Time.....

I love this time of year. We get to hop in the car and head for the warm weather and not worry about work. Actually we only get to spend a few days in the Mesa area and then back up to northern AZ. The weather there is about the same as home. Maybe a little warmer.
These are pictures we took as we were driving into Mesa on Thursday. Just hitting sunset. It was beautiful!!! Not bad from a moving car eh?

We stayed at Cortney's Thursday night. We got in town about the same time she got out of school. She then took us to dinner (we payed) at Macaroni Grill where she works. Robert (our nephew) met us there too. It was a yummy dinner. Especially because we got half off. Boy did we eat.

We played in Mesa the next day until Cortney had to go to work. Then we met Doran's long time friend, Bill, and his wife, Elaine, for dinner. After, we drove to Maricopa and stayed the night with Kevin and Lisa and their family (Doran's sister). Saturday morning Doran and I got up early and went running "the loop". It was 4 miles. The running part was 3.6 miles. Oh the PAIN. Doran is so great to wait for me. He would run ahead and then come back for me. THEN........

we went to Jeremy's soccer game.

Afterwards we went in and had lunch at The Rainforest Cafe with Cortney and played some more until she had to go to work. Lisa and Alyssa drove us in. We met Kevin and the boys for dinner and headed back to Maricopa. Unfortunately there was a bad wreck. It took some time and detours to be able to find a way back home.

Alyssa had a long day.......
Sunday Doran and I went in to town to attend church with Cortney. She then followed us out to Lisa's for dinner. Kevin and Lisa took Nathan to a Priesthood Preview. Doran, Me and Cortney got to tend the kids. Doran played ball with Jeremy, and Alyssa wanted her nails painted.
